20 Jahre lang hatte Nick Tschecker in Norddeutschland eine Marketingagentur. Dann setzte er alles auf eine Karte. Mit „Unser Jahr“ wagt er den Blick in die Glaskugel. Es ist ein Lied, das nichts beschönigt. Diese positive Energie will er weitergeben.
„Es war immer schon sein Wunsch, Musik zu machen, er hatte sich allerdings nie getraut. Im letzten Jahr war er im Lockdown auf Mallorca. Alles war geschlossen – Restaurants, der Ballermann…. das war ein Schock für ihn, ein Aufwachmoment. Es ist ihm bewusst geworden, dass man im Leben das machen sollte, worauf man Lust hat. Am Ende schaut man doch zurück und fragt sich - Was habe ich eigentlich gemacht?‘. Meine Arbeit hatte ihm bisher immer großen Spaß gemacht, aber Musik war immer sein Traum. Er entschied sich für die Musik und schon ist der erste Song ‘Mallorca, das sind wir‘ entstanden. Es ist ein Song, welcher sich an die Mallorca-Regierung richtet. Und das fühlte sich gut an und das machte ihm Spaß.“
Wir sollten den Kopf heben und darüber nachdenken, was wir für uns verändern können. Nick hat das sehr geholfen, diese Reflektion. Er hat sich für einen anderen Weg entschieden und das kann jeder für sich tun.“
